I. Captain Jeffrey William Hunt, commanding the Texas Militia Company, Tom Green Rifles of Travis County Texas, is hereby notified that Governor Edward Clark has affirmed; the said company is among those accepted, which have volunteered for service in the Confederate Army.
II. The company is assigned to the 2nd Battalion, Texas Brigade; Capt. Hunt is hereby ordered to report with his command to Colonel Fredrick A. Yokubaitis at Camp Mabry, Texas on or before February 18, instant.

II. The company haven been mustered and sworn into Confederate service at White Sulphur Springs, Arkansas on October 8, ultimo, is assigned to the Second Battalion, Arkansas Volunteers, comprising the 4th Battalion, Texas Brigade.

I. Pursuant to an effort to raise troops to form an Arkansas Infantry Battalion, all companies of Arkansas infantry, volunteering for Confederate service, are hereby ordered to report to Washington, Arkansas on February 18, 1862 to be formed into an infantry battalion to be commanded by Toren V. Blanco.
II. Upon suitable recommendations and impressive credentials of previous service and by the authority of the War Department, Toren Vincent Blanco, has been appointed Lt.-Colonel to rank from October 8, ultimo. He is further announced as commander of the' Second Battalion, Arkansas Volunteers, comprising the 4th Battalion, Texas Brigade.

I. Captain James Wesley Prichard is hereby recognized for outstanding service in the organization of the Texas Brigade and for his assistance on the field with the Texas Brigade in the recent engagement at Wilson's Creek, Missouri.
II. Furthermore, by the authority of the War Department, Capt. Prichard is promoted to Lt. Colonel, to rank from August 10, 186l. He will continue on the staff and as Chief-of-Staff to the general, commanding brigade.

I. In consideration of a long and meritorious service to the Texas Brigade, it is announced that 1st Lieutenant James Eugene Richards has been promoted to Captain, to rank from May 15, ultimo.
II. He will continue the high quality of work as discharged in the past and seek out the personnel and clerks necessary to the continued expansion of the Quartermaster Department He will use precise care to obtain the needed staff without reducing the number of muskets on the line.

Holloway.
II. Upon splendid recommendations and qualifications and by the authority of the War Department, Richard Hunter Holloway has been appointed Colonel, to rank from April 26, ultimo. He is further announced as commander of the 3rd Battalion, this brigade.
III. He will have such troops mustered and sworn into Confederate service and trained as infantry accordingly, and will continue the effort to recruit and train volunteers, reporting the particulars and details to these headquarters.

I. Sergeant Fred Leo Anthamatten, a charter member of the local volunteer organization known as the Lone Star Rifles of Galveston County, Texas, will immediately report to Second Brigade Headquarters at Galveston, Texas.
II. He is promoted to the rank of Sergeant-Major and will assume the duties as the top non-commissioned officer of the Second Brigade, that of Brigade Sergeant-Major.
III. He will be obeyed and respected according to the rank and duty.

II. Nicholas A. Medich will without delay, engage in the effort to recruit volunteer and militia companies to fill the ranks of the 1st Battalion, this brigade. He will have such troops mustered and sworn into Confederate service and trained as infantry accordingly.
III. By the authority of the War Department, it is further announced that Nicholas A. Medich is appointed Colonel, to rank from January 10, instant.
IV. He will report the condition and numbers of his organization to these headquarters, immediately upon enlistment of the companies.
